Keep one availability calendar per bookable unit
Availability must reflect confirmed reservations, blocked dates and direct bookings so the same unit is not promised twice.
Separate marketplace and direct reservations
A host may receive bookings from a marketplace, phone, walk-in, repeat guest or other source. Recording them in one operational calendar improves occupancy control.
Track stay-specific charges
Cleaning fees, deposits, discounts and other accommodation charges should be represented separately from the base nightly amount when they apply.
